Physical Distancing ala Singapura, Berdekatan Kena Denda Rp 113 Juta

The number of cases of the deadly new coronavirus COVID-19 being treated in China dropped to below 15,000 in mainland China Thursday, in what the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a global public health emergency last month. Officials in Beijing have put in place a mandatory 14 day quarantine for all people returning to the capital from other places in China and abroad. The number of those who have died from the virus in China climbed to over 3173 on Thursday, mostly in Hubei province, and cases have been reported in many other countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, India, Iran, Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and several others. The World Health Organization has warned all governments to be on alert and raised concerns over a possible pandemic. Cegah penyebaran virus corona COVID-19, Singapura memberikan peringatan tegas kepada warganya untuk menjaga jarak satu sama lain atau physical distancing. Bahkan jika ada warga yang ketahuan tak menjaga jarak kurang dari satu meter akan didenda sebanyak Rp 113 juta atau dipenjara selama enam bulan.

Dikutip dari Straits Times, kebijakan ini berlaku untuk segala kegiatan apa pun termasuk saat mengantre atau duduk bersama. Peraturan ini adalah hasil pembaruan Undang-Undang Penyakit Menular yang dibuat oleh otoritas kesehatan Singapura, dan telah berlaku mulai Kamis (26/3/2020) malam.

Pemerintah Singapura juga membatasi warganya yang ingin membuat pertemuan di luar tempat kerja atau sekolah yakni, hanya diperbolehkan maksimal sepuluh orang.

Tak hanya itu, segala macam aktivitas seperti acara olahraga, pameran, bioskop, dan lain-lain juga telah dihentikan sementara untuk membatasi penyebaran virus corona. Rencananya kebijakan ini berlaku hingga 30 April 2020 mendatang.

Diketahui hingga Jumat (27/3/2020), jumlah kasus infeksi virus corona di Singapura sudah mencapai 683 orang dan 2 di antaranya meninggal dunia.
