Jakarta - Sungai Seine menjadi pelarian warga Paris dari cuaca ekstrem setelah pemerintah membuka kembali area berenang sebagai warisan Olimpiade Paris 2024.

Pembukaan lokasi berenang di Sungai Seine bertepatan dengan gelombang panas yang melanda Prancis, sehingga fasilitas tersebut dimanfaatkan warga dan wisatawan untuk menyegarkan diri di tengah suhu ekstrem, selain menjadi bagian dari warisan Olimpiade Paris 2024. Di Prancis, tercatat 2.025 kematian berlebih selama periode gelombang panas. Menteri Kesehatan Prancis, Stéphanie Rist, mengatakan angka kematian meningkat terutama pada kelompok usia di atas 45 tahun.
