Jakarta - Malaysia bersiap untuk kondisi terburuk, rekor kasus baru Corona melampaui 7 ribu. Banyak RS berjuang melawan kasus pasien ICU yang membludak.

Kasus baru Corona melonjak tinggi di Malaysia. Per hari ini, ada 7.289 kasus baru yang dilaporkan.

Kematian Corona tercatat sebanyak 60 kasus, selisih satu kasus dari rekor di hari sebelumnya yaitu 61 orang wafat akibat COVID-19 per Senin (24/5/2021).

Jumlah pasien yang dirawat di ICU karena COVID-19 juga ikut membludak. Total ada 726 pasien yang dirawat.

Malaysia memperketat pembatasan Corona, mewajibkan warga negaranya untuk 'lockdown' mandiri jika tak ada kepentingan mendesak.

“Melonjaknya kasus Corona dimulai pada 1 April 2021, bisa terus meningkat. Kami perlu bersiap untuk yang terburuk,” kata Direktur Jenderal Kesehatan Noor Hisham Abdullah.
