Masih Diamuk Varian Delta, Filipina Rawat Pasien COVID-19 di Kapel

Jakarta - Salah satu negara di Asia Tenggara yang masih bergelut dengan varian Dela adalah Filipina. Negara ini mencatat 18.937 kasus baru pada Senin (20/9/2021).

Dengan tambahan 146 kasus kematian, tercatat COVID-19 telah menewaskan 36.934 jiwa di negara tersebut.

Pada Agustus, varian delta terdeteksi pada 89 persen kasus di Filipina. Meningkat dari 5 persen pada Juni 2021.

Wakil Menteri Kesehatan Filipina, Maria Rosario Vergeire, menyebut jumlah kasus di Metro Manila terus meningkat meski dengan laju yang lebih rendah.
